Increase gas engine productivity with the new Mobil Pegasus products
The end of 2014 comes with news for the owners of gas and biogas engines. The ExxonMobil experts have released two new types of gas engine lubricants and also for biogas engines meant to increase their productivity:
- An improved formulation of the Mobil Pegasus SR lubricant
- A new product from the Mobil SHC Pegasus series with a different viscosity degree (Mobil SHC Pegasus 40)
Mobil Pegasus SR – ideal for biogas engines
The improved formulation of Mobil Pegasus SR was initially subject to some field teste that have demonstrated excellent performance for gas engine productivity. Thus, using this formulation you can double the oil change interval compared to when Mobil Pegasus 605 lubricant is used.
The new Mobil Pegasus SR formulation has a series of benefits that ae important for biogas engines, thus it provides:
- Excellent protection for engine components through the high level of chemical stability and resistance to oxydation and nitration
- Remarcable anti-wear performance
- Increased protection against deposit formation
All these benefits, combined with its dispersing features, help you better control the formation of ash an carbon deposits, which would otherwise lead to reduced performances of the gas engines and even explosions.
Mobil SHC Pegasus – a reliable ally for gas engines
The products from the Mobil SHC Pegasus series have been formulated to offer benefits in performance that are very important for gas engines. For instance, Mobil SHC Pegasus 30 has the possibility of increasing the energy effectiveness with up to 1,5%1.
Apart from this aspect it will also contribute to the increase of the oil change interval , which translates as cost reduction with gas engine maintenance.
The lubricants from the Mobil SHC Pegasus series continue on the same line of evolution, thus the new products like Mobil SHC Pegasus 40 will also be available in Romania in the near future.
