The company owner has no fear in keeping up with the evolution of technology. Moreover, the Euro VI technology met our needs very well, especially since we are operating in a sector where sustainability is extremely important.
For the people at McLaren Racing, switching to Euro VI engines was based on both financial and strategic reasons.
Before making this transition, we were using a fleet with Euro 4 and Euro 5 engines to transport the cars to races. Being active in the transportation industry, we wanted to be the first Formula 1 team that exceeded the requirements of the environment policies and maintained this status "company with low carbon dioxide emissions in the atmosphere.
Also, we noticed that over a period of 5 months the fuel savings increased by 6%. Martin Boyes said that a major contribution to these savings was made by using the Mobil Delvac 1 lubricant.
In the case of Dawsonrentals, that has 3500 trucks, the switch to Euro VI engines was seen as a challenge.
The challenge for us and for the producers is the way we implement these changes so that we get over the possible rejections from the fleet operators. We are not afraid of the new technology and this is the message we want to convey to the fleet operators around the world.
